Mrs. Mildred Godwin Jackson, 89

Roseboro Mrs. Mildred Godwin Jackson, 89, of 2900 Dunn Road, Roseboro, died on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Sampson Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jeff Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Jackson was born on October 13, 1921 in Sampson County to the late David M. and Catherine Barefoot Godwin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Butress Jackson and a daughter, Sylvia Jackson and was a homemaker. Mrs. Jackson is survived by: four sons, Johnny Jackson and wife Faye, of Greenville, Bobby W. Jackson and wife Judy, Dwight B. Jackson and wife Sue and Mark Jackson and wife Jane, all of Roseboro; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Monday night, July 25, 2011 from 7:00 till 9:00 PM at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3681 Dunn Road, Roseboro, NC 28382.
