FAYETTEVILLE Ms. Mildred Jones Gerald, 59, of 1586 Seabrook School Rd. passed away at her home on Thursday, September 1. She was a homemaker. Mildred was a native of Columbus County, the daughter of George Jones and Letsie Gibbs. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 P.M., Saturday, September 3 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with Rev. Rodney Strickland officiating. She is survived by: husband, Morgan Cook; one daughter, Kim Chavez of Fayetteville; one son, Shane Gerald of Fayetteville; four sisters, Doris Strickland, Laney Chavis, and Judy Jones, all of Fayetteville, and Minnie Brewington of Florida; two brothers, Rodney Strickland of Hope Mills and Archie Jones of Florida; and five grandchildren.
