Mr. Michael Howard Autry, 68 of 7531 Maxwell Road, Stedman, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at his home.

The funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, December 12 at Clement Baptist Church, 6020 Maxwell Road, Autryville, with Reverend Dr. James E. Dees, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Maxwell Cemetery.

Mr. Autry was born May 24, 1947 in Sampson County to the late John E. and Nellie Matthews Autry. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hollis, J.D., Rufus; and sisters, Sue, Blondell.

He retired from the Department of Transportation after 30 years of service, and was a lifetime member of Clement Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lockamy Autry of the home; sister, Allie G. Wrench of Dunn; daughter, Wanda Faircloth and husband Pete of Garland; grandchildren, Brandi Goodchild and husband John of Newton Grove, Wayne Wiggins and wife Beth of Clinton, Kevin Wiggins and wife Ashley of Clinton, Sherry Colosky and husband Frankie of Salemburg; and great grandchildren, Destiny Goodchild, Emily Goodchild, Karah Wiggins, Wayne Wiggins, Jr., June Wiggins, Layla Colosky.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, December 11 at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
