Mrs. Merita Norris "Pee Wee" Carlisle, 73

ROSEBORO Mrs. Merita Norris "Pee Wee" Carlisle, 73 of 10000 Roseboro Highway, Roseboro, passed away to Heaven on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Zoar Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Barker officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. Mrs. Carlisle was a native of Sampson County and the daughter of the late Ollin B. and Arah Godwin Norris. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Marilyn N. Beard. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: her husband, C.O. "Buddy" Carlisle of 53 years; two sons, Jeffery L. Carlisle and wife, Cathy of Roseboro, and Joseph L. Carlisle and wife, Kay of Eastover; six sisters, Doris N. Hill of Salemburg, Jeanette N. Beard of Fayetteville, Edith N. Johnson of Fayetteville, Ruby N. Bryant of Roseboro, Pat N. Royal of Clinton and Shirley N. Perry of Mississippi; two brothers, O.B. Norris of Stedman and Tommy D. Norris of Salemburg; four grandchildren, Sarah Carlisle Phillips and husband, John, Adam Carlisle, Joanna Carlisle and Tabitha Sessoms Millen and husband, Leon; three great grandchildren, Devin Millen, Kaley Millen and Brooke Millen; and her dog, May. She loved all her brother-in-laws and her sister-in-law, Belinda Norris. She loved all her nieces and nephews. She also loved her dear friends, Bobby and Thelma Autry. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
