ROSEBORO

Mrs. Melissa Lynn Sessoms Lucas, 44 of 1675 Butler Island Road, Roseboro, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, June 1, at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Reverend Robert Lucas officiating. Interment will follow at Ed Autry Cemetery.

She was born January 18, 1973 in Sampson County. She worked as an Office Assistant with Underground Construction.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Lucas of the home; step-son, Stephen Ray Lucas of the home; grandson, Tristen Edward Coble; mother, Debbie Brown of Autryville; father, Jesse Sessoms and wife Debra of Roseboro; sister, Tiffany Brown of Roseboro; brother, Jesse Foster of Autryville; uncle, Greg Autry of Roseboro; and niece, Madison Newman.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at home of Greg Autry, 224 Sir Lane, Roseboro.
