Maxton Eugene Faircloth, 85 passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Pastor Philip Nelson. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends from 1:20 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
He was born in Sampson County to the late Mack Faircloth and Nannie Fisher Faircloth. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, James, Earl, Pete, Eulie, Oddis, and Hubert Fairloth.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Karen Binkley & husband, Tommy of Broadway, Pamela Kellum of Sanford, Ruth Britt of Sanford, and Ira Eugene Faircloth of Greenville; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and sister, Pearl Hairr of Stedman.
