Mrs. Matilda S. Mote, 86

HARRELLS Mrs. Matilda Smith Mote, 86 of 2002 Mote Road, died on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Colly's Chapel Holiness Church with the Rev. Jim Woodruff and Rev. Walter Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Bladen Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mote was born in 1921 in Bladen County to the late Adolph and Addie Dyson Smith. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Mote is survived by: two sons, Adolph "Buddy" Gilmore of Tabor City, and William Gilmore of Maryville, TN; one daughter, Jane Long of Harrells; one sister, Mable Jones of White Lake; one brother-in-law, Hayes Devane of Rowan, NC; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
