Mrs. Mary Judie (VonCannon) Welch, 74, of Roseboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

A funeral service for Judie and a memorial service for her son “Bo” will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Reverend Michael Lambert officiating. The burial will follow the service at Elkin Cemetery in Roseboro.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

Mrs. Welch was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Bill VonCannon and Cleveland Murdock VonCannon. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two children, Clifton “Bo” Keith Hall, and Alice Faye Fryman.

She is survived by her husband, John Wayne Welch; three daughters, Janice Olivares, Shirley Fowler, and Renee Simmons; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harvey Gayle Voncannon.
