Mrs. Mary Stephenson Tew, 89

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Mary Stephenson Tew, 89 of 3925 Sanderosa Road, Fayetteville, died on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Butler Funeral Home with Jerome Tew officiating. Burial will follow at the Tew Family Cemetery in Roseboro. Mrs. Tew was born on October 14, 1922 in Cumberland County to the late Richard Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Cain Stephenson. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Pershing A. Tew. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Tew is survived by: two daughters, Charlotte Hawkins and Lisa Black both of Fayetteville; two sons, Donald Tew of Greensboro, GA, and Terry Tew of Fayetteville; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
