Mrs. Mary Alice Spell Sutton, 94

AUTRYVILLE

Mrs. Mary Alice Spell Sutton, 94 of Autryville, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 27 at Autryville Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Bartlett and Reverend Ronald Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Autryville Cemetery.

Mrs. Sutton was a native Sampson County, the daughter of the late William Owen and Betty Kate Butler Spell. She was preceded in the death by her parents; husband, Harvey S. Sutton; and grandson, Barry Shawn Sutton. She was an active member of Autryville Baptist Church and enjoyed many civic activities. She was also a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Larry Sutton and wife Betty of Stedman; one sister, Betty Bullard of Roseboro; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
