Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Porter Kelly

Roseboro Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Porter Kelly, 80, of 1021 Reeda Branch Road, Roseboro, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Sampson Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 at 2:00 p. m. at Piney Green Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Keith Carter and Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Kelly was a native of Sampson County and the daughter of the late Gideon Dixon and Rena Mae McLamb Porter. She was preceded in death by a brother Lilston Porter. Mrs. Kelly is survived by: three daughters, Cynthia M. Chudej and Tammy Chambliss Bereuter, both of Fort Worth, Texas and Brenda Huitt, of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Chad Dixon Slovacek, Mark Chance Slovacek and Heather Huitt Henslee; four great-grandchildren, Gannon Slovacek, Bryce Slovacek, Brenna Slovacek and Makenna Henslee; sister, Anna Frances Honeycutt, of Roseboro; brother, Bobby Ray Porter, of Roseboro; special friend, Cloyce Honeycutt, of Roseboro. The family will receieve friends Wednesday night from 7 till 9 p. m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and at other times at the home of Tyson Honeycutt, 6945 N. Salemburg Highway, Roseboro.
