ROSEBORO
Mrs. Mary Emma Naylor Williams, 72 of 6652 Dunn Road, Roseboro, died on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jeff Bartlett and Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at the Williams-Spell Family Cemetery in Roseboro.
Mrs. Williams was born on October 23, 1939 in Sampson County to the late Johnny Rosen and Gertrude Royal Naylor. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Clifton "J.C." Williams; one son, James Williams; her great granddaughter, Madison Skye Tew; and four brothers, William "Bo" Naylor, Carson "Buddy" Naylor, R.V. Naylor and Bobby Naylor. Mary Emma was very much a classy southern lady. She was known for her very well kept appearance. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always smiling. She treated everyone with love and compassion. She loved her family more than anything. She was a retired seamstress.
She is survived by: one son, Johnny Williams of Roseboro; three granddaughters, Jamie Lyn Tew and husband, John of Roseboro, Amy Williams of Salemburg and Tiffany Williams and husband, Eric of Wilmington; one grandson, John Williams of Autryville; five great grandchildren, Bryan Hatcher, Sara Tew, John Davis, Julian Edwards and Tyler Tew; three sisters, Ann Smith and husband, Larry of Roseboro, Doris Harris and husband, William and Vinnie Cannady and husband, Randy all of Clinton; one brother, Maxton "Pee Wee" Naylor of Clinton; and several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3645 Dunn Road, Roseboro, and other times at the home of her granddaughter, 2345 Huntley School Road, Roseboro.
