Mrs. Mary Gladys Long Thomas, 82

HARRELLS Mrs. Mary Gladys Long Thomas, 82 of 440 Ira Long Road, Harrells, died on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown. The funeral service will be held at Beards Chapel Baptist Church on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Barry Helms officiating. Burial will follow at the Long Cemetery in Harrells. Mrs. Thomas was born on November 29, 1929 in Bladen County to the late Ira and Florence Virginia Smith Long. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Thomas; and one son, Steve Thomas. She worked as a Seamstress. She is survived by: one daughter, Connie Whaley and husband, Charlie of Wallace; two sons, Rickey Thomas and Mickey Thomas both of Harrells; one granddaughter, Crystal Fussell and husband, John of Hampstead; two great grandchildren, Madison Fussell and Tyler Fussell; and three brothers, Homer Long and Milton Long both of Harrells, and Donnie Long of Elizabethtown. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Beards Chapel Baptist Church, 409 Beards Chapel Loop Road, Garland. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
