Mrs. Mary Linda (Murray) Johnson, 84 passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The family will have a private service.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Merrit Murray and Rosia Lyde Murray; daughter, Connie Sue Autry Meade; and her siblings, Ernest Cashwell & his wife, Judith, Eddie Burl Murray, Nell Rose Hill, Ricky Jean Gomez, and Doris Murray.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Brenda Autry Douglas & husband, Kenny of Autryville, and Debra Autry McWhorter of Stedman; grandchildren, Stephen McWhorter & wife, Brandy of Texas, and Philip McWhorter of Stedman; great grandchildren, Teagan and Liam McWhorter; caregivers, Janet Owens and Cathy Bain; nurses, Zeomie, Renee and Julia; and her doctor Maria Josette and her staff.
