Mrs. Mary Louise Goins, 83

February 12, 1929 — March 2, 2012

ROSEBORO Mrs. Louise McMillan Goins, 83 of Roseboro, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and caretaker, Janet, in Summerfield, NC. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Roseboro United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Herring officiating. Burial will follow in the Roseboro Cemetery. Mrs. Goins was a lifelong resident of Roseboro and was the daughter of the late Ed and Sudie Hall Honeycutt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hal Goins, her sister, Melba Ray Willis, her brothers, Bobby Honeycutt, Ernest Honeycutt, John Honeycutt, Curtis Honeycutt and her loving cat, Susie. She was an avid animal lover and worked countless hours to help homeless cats and dogs in Sampson County. She worked as secretary with Little Cotton Manufacturing Company in Roseboro. She is survived by: two daughters, Carolyn Tew and husband, Gene of Clinton and Janet Cook and husband, Mike of Summerfield; and two sons, Gary McMillan and wife, Mary of Clinton and Randy McMillan and wife, Debra of Roseboro; one brother, Thomas Honeycutt of Clinton; two sisters, Edna Bass and Grey Nethercutt both of Clinton; four grandsons, Daren Tew, Aaron McMillan, Christopher McMillan and Andrew Cook; three granddaughters, Natalie Cook, Randi Kaye McMillan and Laura Cook; three step-granddaughters, Angela Boyette, Pamela Lipscomb and Sharon Sinclair; six great grandchildren, Desdarena, Dariana, Divinity, Delea, Derienger and Dravyn; four step-great grandchildren, Christopher Glover, Jennifer Glover, Meredith Sinclair and Rachel Sinclair; and one step-great grandchild, Clara Glover. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home of her son, Gary McMillan, 604 Allen Street, Clinton. Flowers are welcome or a donation to the Sampson County Friends of Animals in memory of Louise McMillan Goins. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
