Mrs. Mary Sue Edwards, 63

STEDMAN Mrs. Mary Sue Edwards, 63 of 2094 Bainbridge Road, died on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at her home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Praise Fellowship Church of God with Rev. Ken Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Edwards was born on May 4, 1947 in Robeson County and was the daughter of the late Alford Pittman and Mary Estelle Williams Altman. She was a member of Praise Fellowship Church of God, a member of the church choir, worked with mission groups throughout the church, and worked along with Jail Ministries in Cumberland County for 11 years. She was employed as a Courier with Labcorp for 15 years. Mrs. Edwards is survived by: her husband, Charles L. Edwards of the home; two sons, Johnnie Ray Owens and wife, Paula of Fayetteville and Michael A. "Tony" Owens and wife, Pam of Eastover; five grandchildren, Krystal Owens, Jonathan Owens, Kelsey Dobes, John Owens and Cheyenne Owens; two brothers, Bobby Williams and wife, Margaret of Hope Mills and Tommy Altman and wife, Judy of Dunn; two sisters, Betty Dow and husband, Joe of Eastover and Judy West and husband, Ernie of Simpsonville, SC; a special friend, Gail Watts of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 12 to 2 P.M. at Praise Fellowship Church of God, 514 Adams Street, Fayetteville, and other times at the home.
