Mrs. Mary Magdalene (Edge) Melvin, 91 went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 26, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

A funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Evergreen Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Honeycutt, Reverend Charles Davis, and Reverend David Shirley. The burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:50 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the church prior to the service.

Mrs. Melvin was a native of Cumberland County, the daughter of Leamon and Lillie Faircloth Edge. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Melvin; her daughter, Kay Melvin; her great granddaughter, Addison Culbreth; three sisters, Christine Hall, Kathleen Davis and Aslean Edge; and two brothers, Bobby Edge and Buddy Edge.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Glenn Melvin and wife, Karen of Autryville; two granddaughters, Kristy Culbreth and husband, Chris of Fayetteville; and Stacey Autry and husband, Timmy of Autryville; two great grandsons, Grayden Culbreth and Landyn Cole; her sister, Ernestine Simmons of Roseboro; and her brother, Billy Edge and wife, Debbie of Benson.
