Mrs. Mary S. Chestnutt, 57

BEULAVILLE Mrs. Mary Strickland Chestnutt, 57 of 281 N. Blizzard Town Road, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Baptist Church with Rev. Odell Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Chestnutt was born in 1951 in Harnett County to the late Owen Brittin and Mallie Spell Edge. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Chestnutt is survived by: two daughters, Michelle Tyndall of Roseboro, and Ruth Davis of Rose Hill; seven sons, Randy Strickland, Jimmy Chestnutt, Tommy Chestnutt, Micheal Chestnutt, William Chestnutt, Paul Chestnutt, and Benjamin Chestnutt, all of Beulaville; two brothers, Edwin Edge and Billy Edge, both of Roseboro; four sisters, Nancy Lockamy of Fayetteville, Frances Gardner of Roseboro, Lois Lewis and Janice Coffee, both of Autryville; twelve grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 1 until 2 P.M. at Evergreen Baptist Church.
