Mrs. Mary Currie Boahn, 85

Mrs. Mary Currie Boahn, 85 of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Joseph of the Pines in Southern Pines.

The funeral will be held 6:00 pm Sunday, November 8 at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, with Rev. Katie Vance Lucas officiating.

She was born October 1, 1930 in Alamance County and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Carrie Shoffner Currie; and husband, Alfred Boahn.

She is survived by her daughters, Joan Thomas and husband Jimmy of Fayetteville, Donna Bullard and husband Danny of Stedman, Patsy Lucas and husband Sam of Fayetteville, Alison Patterson and husband Terry of Fayetteville; sons, Mike Boahn and wife Myra of Stedman, Ronald Boahn and wife Shannon of Florida; grandchildren, Jamie George, Michael Boahn, Jr., Ashley Boahn, Deanna Poulk, Megan Frost, David Boahn, Nick Lopez, Jimmy Patterson, Hunter Boahn, Sarah Patterson; 11 great grandchildren; brother, David Currie of Lumberton; and sisters, Carolyn Barnes of Florida, Nancy Tingen of Liberty.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 5:45 pm Sunday evening at Butler Funeral Home, Stedman, and other times at the home of Deanna Poulk, 6119 Azelea Drive, Stedman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
