Mrs. Martha Louise Haynes Cox, 72 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at WakeMed Cary Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Zoar Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Kelven Blackman, Reverend Ernest King and Reverend Eric Sanderson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

Mrs. Cox was a native of Cumberland County, the daughter of Charles and Mary Guins Haynes. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and three brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Timothy Cox of the home; two daughters, Amy Records (Stephen) of Seneca, SC; and Charlotte Sanderson of Concord; her son, Eric Sanderson (Hannah) of Wilmington; her step-daughter, Laura Sotomayor (Angel) of Charlotte; nine grandchildren, Kailyn Sanderson, Alexis Short, Nicholas Wise, Collin Sanderson, Hannah Wise, Emma Short, Tyler Records, Kensi Lopez and Eliana Lopez; three sisters, Frances Jackson, Edna Muhar and Laura Pardue; her brother, Richard Haynes; and her mother-in-law, Gloria Basham.
