Mark Andrew Johnson, Sr.

AUTRYVILLE

Mr. Mark Andrew Johnson, Sr., 65 of Autryville, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 6570 High House Road, Salemburg with Reverend Reece Fairfax and Reverend Bryan Strickland officiating.  Burial will follow in the Calvary Church Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was born on October 30, 1959 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina to Boyd K. and Willa E. Lathrum Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Kenneth Boyd Johnson; father-in-law, George Oscar Bryant; brothers-in-law, Fletcher Allen and James Cherry; and nephew, Timothy Walters.  He worked with Sampson County Public Schools as a Kitchen Repair Technician.  He was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a member of the Praise Team.  He was a member of the Gospel Group, “Shade Of The Cross.”

He is survived by his wife, Tina Bryant Johnson; daughter, Brittany Johnson of the home; son, Andrew Johnson of the home; daughter, Mandy Shaw and husband, Marcus of Wallace, SC; granddaughter, Miley Grace Shaw of Wallace, SC; mother, Willa Lathrum Johnson of Cheraw, SC; brother, Scott Johnson and wife, Angela of Bennettsville, SC; niece, Brandi Schoen and husband, Adam of Columbia, SC; nephew, Lathrum Johnson of Florence, SC; mother-in-law, Welma Jean Bryant of Autryville; sisters-in-law, Pegi Allen of Tarheel, Debra Kroninger and husband, Roger of Autryville, Robin Cherry of Newton Grove, Tami Platter and husband, Michael of Lowden, IA; brother-in-law, Michael Bryant and wife, Patricia of Autryville; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved CeCe.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00pm prior to the service.

Services are entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
