Mrs. Marilyn Dunn Roberts, 93 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Roseboro First Baptist Church with the Reverend Hampton Faircloth and Reverend Greg Templin officiating.  For your protection and the protection of others it is requested that you wear a mask for Marilyn's service.

Marilyn was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late John Guthrie and Ethel McLamb Dunn. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sons, William Roberts and Stewart Roberts.

Marilyn was a Sampson County school teacher for 31 years and church pianist for Roseboro First Baptist Church for 60 years.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Jennings Roberts; her cousins and other relatives and friends.
