Ms. Maria del Carmen (Canosa) Buffington, 68 of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Heritage Bible Fellowship.

Ms. Buffington was born on June 25, 1956 in Havana, Cuba. She was the daughter of Jesus and Josefina (Silvarrey) Canosa. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Daniel Canosa and wife, Christina; four grandchildren, Danny Jr., Jacob, Caleb and Levi; two sisters, Maria Luisa Canosa and Maria Josefina Canosa; her niece, Ana Hodges and husband, Michael; her nephew, Miguel Celde and partner, Lelania McCown; three great-nephews and two great-nieces.
