Mrs. Margaret Driscilla Thomas Holden

ROSEBORO Mrs. Margaret Driscilla Thomas Holden, 88, of 1230 Andrews Chapel Road, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 at her home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Wright (Dunk) Holden, Sr., her parents, Joe B. Thomas and Lena Gilchrist Thomas, brothers, Carlyle, Sidney, John, Exel and Carson Thomas. The funeral will be held on Monday, 3:30 pm at Butler Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Roseboro Cemetery. She was a member of Mintz Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She is survived by: one daughter, Elsie Strickland and her husband Joe, of Roseboro; two sons, Isaac Wright (IW) Holden, Jr., of Georgia and Fulton Holden and wife Wanda, of Salemburg; three sisters, Mattie Perry of Lillington, Celestene T. Morris of Fayetteville and Gladys Kinley of Trinity; brother, James Thomas of Archdale; grandchildren, Joy Pope, Tonya Johnson, Felicia Holden, Frankie Strickland, Trent Holden, Kyle Holden and Stephen Holden; great-grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Jeffrey Pope and Abbie Pope. A special Thank You to her caregivers, Bessie Matthews and Sondra Peterson. The family will receive friends on Sunday night from 6-8 pm at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
