Margaret Jernigan Melvin, 90

ELIZABETHTOWN

Mrs. Margaret Jernigan Melvin, 90 of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at Angel House Hospice Care Center in Whiteville.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 7, at Marshburn Cemetery, Hwy 701 N., Elizabethtown, with Reverend Jim Woodruff officiating.

She was born October 21, 1926 in Robeson County and retired in 1990 from Veeder Root in Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stacy John Melvin.

She is survived by her son, Luke Melvin and wife Toni of Elizabethtown; grandson, Stephen Melvin of Elizabethtown; granddaughter, Hope Brennan and husband Randal of Whiteville; and great granddaughter, Sophia Makynzee.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, August 6, at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
