Mrs. Margaret Ann Jones Parker, 69, of 2551 Sunnyside School Road went home to be with her Lord Sunday evening, May 4, 2008 with loving family members at her side.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 2 PM at the Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Randall Strickland, the Reverend Robert Wilbourne and the Reverand C. Paul Jones, brother of the deceased, officiating. The burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville. Family and friends will be received at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, Tuesday evening, May 6, 2008 from 7-9 PM and at other times at the home of Alisa and Dan Hayes in Stedman.
Mrs. Parker was a loving mother, wife, sister and friend. She, along with her husband, Ertle, were the owners of Parker-Baldwin Music in Fayetteville and Lumberton for many years until the business closed in 1991. She was the second child of the late Ernest and Henrietta Jones of Lumberton, N.C. She is survived by her husband, Ertle B. Parker; two daughters, Alisa Parker Hayes and husband Dan of Stedman and Lori Parker Schneider and husband Tony of Southlake, Texas. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by one son, Ertle (Chip) B. Parker, II. She has three brothers, Ernest Jones, Jr. and wife Cathy of Harrisburg, N.C., Reverend C. Paul Jones and wife Faye of Fuquay-Varina, N.C. and Gerald (Tom) Jones and wife Linda of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sisters, Faye Jones Showman and husband Donald of Lumberton, N.C. and Gail Jones Ivey and husband O.W. of Lumberton, N.C.; four grandchildren, grandsons, Zachary Hayes and Jared Hayes and granddaughters, Caitlin Schneider and Taylor Schneider; and a longtime dear friend, Barbara Daniels of Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in the name of Margaret Parker to the Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center, 2431 Legion Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28306.
