Mrs. Margaret Jackson Horne, 81

STEDMAN

Mrs. Margaret Jackson Horne of Stedman went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Margaret was born in Duplin County to Charles and Gertie Jackson. After her mothers death she and four other siblings lived at Kennedy Home, a Baptist Children's Orphanage in Kinston, NC. While working at Carolina Telephone as an operator in Fayetteville she meet and married Tommy Alton Horne. Her world revolved around her five children, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She loved her church, Concord Baptist Church and worked with different activities when her health allowed.

She is preceded in death be her mother and father, Charles and Gertie Jackson, her husband of 34 years, Tommy Alton Horne, a son, Tommy Alton Horne, Jr., brothers, Charles, Curtis, Robert, Jeff and Earnie Jackson and sister, Lena Jack

She is survived by daughters, Jane Horne, Linda Horne Hill and Donna Horne Fulcher; a son, Curtis Horne and wife Dawn Horne all of Stedman. Ten grandchildren, Candace Arnold (Tony), Joey Horne, Carrie Horne, Jennifer Horne, Brandon Horne, Corey Horne, Jason Horne, Amber Fulcher, Cody Fulcher all of Stedman and Crystal Horne Hayes (Jared) of Myrtle Beach, SC; ten great grandchildren, Emma Arnold, Jackson Horne, Aidan Small, Eli Horne, Noah Arnold, Kaleb Horne, Claire Arnold, Ella Small, Charlie Joe Horne and Hannah Arnold all of Stedman; sisters, Shelley Lang of LaGrange, Nannie Herring of Mt. Olive and a brother, Johnny Jackson of Morehead City.

The visitation will be at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman on Saturday, March 5 from 2-4 PM. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 6 at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Larry West and Rev. Frank Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Concord Baptist Church, P. O. Box 429, Stedman, NC 28391.
