Margaret Ellen (Carlisle) Womer

CLINTON, NC

Ms. Margaret Ellen Carlisle Womer, 79 of 120 Southwood Drive, Clinton and formerly of Roseboro, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Rex Healthcare.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, September 26, at Roseboro Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 600 S. East Street, Roseboro, with Pastor Justin Wilson and Reverend Bryan Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.

Born November 11, 1938 in Sampson County, she was the daughter of Early Youth and Ruby Lee Beasley Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Gerald Lee Derr, Jr.; one grandson, Gerald Lee Derr, III; her sister, Etta Mae Faircloth; and her brother, Jesse B. "J.B." Carlisle. She worked as a Seamstress.

She is survived by one daughter, Anita Marie Derr of Beech Island, SC; one son, Charles Burton Womer of Clinton; two grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Keith Bartley, Joanna and husband Ebelio Perez; seven great grandchildren, Damian, Christian, and Natalee Bartley, Noory, Alecsandre, and Isabel Perez, and Mischa Grigoryan; and her sister, Pat Edge of Roseboro.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:45pm in the Church Sanctuary prior to the service, and other times at the home of her sister.
