Mrs. Mamie Alease Warren Spell Faircloth, 94, of 180 Southwood Drive, formerly of Roseboro, died on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center.
A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday night at 6:30 PM at Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Louie Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Faircloth was born on August 31, 1916 in Sampson County to the late Lonnie and Mamie Holland Warren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elliott Spell, Sr. and Luther Faircloth and a son-in-law, B.W. Campbell. She was a longtime member of the Roseboro First Baptist Church and a present member of Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Faircloth is survived by: son, Elliott "Pee Wee" Spell, Jr. and wife Ann of Clinton; three daughters, Joyce Campbell of Clinton, Iris Rose Cooper and husband Frank of Newton Grove and Debbie Martin and husband Allison of Clinton; four step-children, Billy Faircloth and wife Kathy and Jimmy Faircloth and wife Sylvia, all of Fayetteville, LeAnn Herring and husband Glenn, of Salemburg and Prentice Faircloth and wife Medina; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Open Door Ministries, 199 E. Magnolia Lisbon Road, Magnolia, NC 28453 or to the Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church, 201 Fayetteville Street, Clinton, NC 28328-0268.
