Malissa Langley, known as "Missa," to many, passed away on November 26, 2017, at the age of 56 years after a bravely fought battle with cancer. Malissa was born in Munich, Germany on December 27, 1960 and then grew up in Fayetteville, NC where she was educated and started her career in the legal field. It is also where she met and married the love of her life Daniel Langley and moved to Stedman, NC where they raised two beautiful children. She has commuted for many years back and forth from North Carolina to the North Slope Borough in Barrow, Alaska where she worked for Wildlife Management. Malissa will be lovingly remembered by her children Lauren Pearl (Logan) Abernathy and Jacob Tyler Langley, by her parents Jim and Sue Nabors, and by her brothers and sisters Jane (Jim) Miller, Loutishia Nabors, Jimmy (Deb) Nabors and Wandra Nabors. She will also be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Malissa was predeceased by her husband Daniel Langley. A Celebration of Malissa’s life will be held at 4:00 pm to 6:00pm, on Saturday, December 9th, at the Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Rd., Stedman, NC 28391.
