Mrs. Mae Lee Barefoot Harris, 94, of Roseboro, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Roseboro First Baptist Church with Reverend Hampton Faircloth and Reverend Dudley Neal officiating. The burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:50 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Roseboro First Baptist Church prior to the service.

Mrs. Harris was a native of Johnston County, the daughter of Erech Floyd Barefoot and Effie Mae Bradley Barefoot. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin Junior Harris; a brother, Cartie A. Barefoot; a sister, Dorothy Allen; and a son-in-law, Thomas Faircloth.

She is survived by four children, Gladys Williams and husband Frank of Elizabeth City, Barbara Jackson and husband George of Turkey, James Alvin Harris and wife Debra of Wilson, and Linda Faircloth of Roseboro; a brother, Robert Barefoot of Bessemer City; a sister, Carolyn Hudson of Dunn; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
