Mrs. Madgree N. Strickland

Roseboro Mrs. Madgree N. Strickland, 86, of 3100 Huntley School Road, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008 at 3:00 p. m. at Piney Green Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Keith Carter and Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Strickland was a native of Sampson County and the daughter of the late Ariel and Oma Strickland Naylor. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Naylor, Hubert Naylor and Vonnie Naylor and a great-grandchild, J.T. Naylor. Mrs. Strickland is survived by: husband, Thomas R. Strickland, of the home; son, J.F. Strickland and wife Elsie, of Salemburg; daughter, Janet Pearson and husband Ed, of Salemburg; sister, Ernestine McLamb, of Salemburg; three grandchildren, Marcella S. Bonner and husband Jack, of Salemburg, Angie P. Brewer and husband Chad, of Clinton and Kevin Pearson and wife Emily, of Salemburg; four great-grandchildren, Morgan L. Bonner, Zoey V. Brewer, Landen T. Pearson and Cullen T. Brewer; step-grandchild, Logan Bonner. The family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008 from 6-8 p. m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
