FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Lucy Harris Smith, 98 of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. The funeral will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Peters Creek Baptist Church with Pastor David Bays officiating. Burial will follow at the Smith Family Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born on November 11, 1916 in Cumberland County to the late Thed McDuffie and Malissa Mae Sessoms Harris. She retired as a Bookkeeper. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 P.M. Thursday afternoon at Peters Creek Baptist Church, 13176 Peters Creek Church Road, Roseboro.
