Mrs. Lucy Eloise Jackson, 87, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 9, at Concord Baptist Church in Autryville with Rev. Charles Rambeau and Rev. Frank Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson was born on May 31, 1925 in Cumberland County to the late Henry Harrison Hair and Frances Jeronie Hair. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jackson, and sisters, Eva Lewis, Cletha Wilmouth and Ruth Hair.
Eloise was known by many as "Granny Weezy". She was a homemaker and a farmers wife.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo Smith and husband, Sam of Fayetteville; son, Johnny Jackson and wife, Jill of Autryville; grandsons, Johnathan Jackson and fiancee', Sarah Maxwell of Autryville and Jackson Smith of Fayetteville; and granddaughter, Catie Jo Smith of Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the church.
