Mrs. Lucy Bell Ezzell Pleasants, 78

STEDMAN Mrs. Lucy Bell Ezzell Pleasants, 78, of 1421 John Nunnery Road, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Jeff Burkhardt and Rev. Donald Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Pleasants was born in 1930 in Sampson County to the late James K. and Ronia Faircloth Ezzell. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Pleasants is survived by: two daughters, Lisa P. Hall, of Roseboro and Kathy Hancock, of Whoo, Nebraska; two sons, Larry Pleasants, of Fayetteville and Joe Pleasants, of Charleston, SC; three sisters, Ethel Lockamy and Kathleen Holloway, both of Autryville and Becky Tyler, of Valdosta, Georgia; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
