Loyd Hubert Jackson III (Bud), 45 went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2023 at his home in Stedman.

A funeral service will be held at Stedman Baptist Church on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Fisher Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:50 PM at Stedman Baptist Church on Friday prior to the service.

He was born in Fayetteville, NC on August 29, 1978 to the late Loyd Hubert Jackson Jr. and Sherry Jo Jackson. Bud grew up in Fayetteville and Hope Mills, NC. He graduated from South View High School in Hope Mills, NC. After high school, Bud attended University of North Carolina at Wilmington in Wilmington, NC.

Bud was a member of Stedman Baptist Church in Stedman, NC where he gave an abundance of his time assisting with recreation, youth, and the Royal Ambassadors. He also dedicated a considerable amount of time to the children of the Stedman community. Bud was an active member of the Stedman Youth Athletic Association where he was a coach, mentor, and an encouraging support to many. The boys and girls of the community have fond memories of Bud cheering them on at sporting events. Bud had a passion for sports and enjoyed watching and pulling for the UNC Tarheels, Carolina Panthers and the Boston Red Soxs. He was a genuine and dependable friend to all; Bud was always the first one to lend a helping hand and have an open heart.

To celebrate and cherish his memory, Bud leaves his loving companion Carrie Haney and her daughter Carlie Butler of Stedman; son Landon Robinson of Stedman; sisters Rebecca Spencer and husband Bryan of Gray’s Creek, Mahera Abu-Seif and fiance’ Cody Smith of Hope Mills; niece and nephews Jayne Tursich, Caleb Spencer, and Mason Smith, and extended close family members and friends.
