Mrs. Lou Jane Smith, 73

GARLAND

Mrs. Lou Jane Smith, 73 of 1145 Wade Smith Road, Garland, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, June 14, at Elizabethtown Church of God, 1767 NC Highway 242 N., with Rev. Wade Hall, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Johnny E. Smith Cemetery.

Born September 17, 1944 in Bladen County, she was the daughter of George Lenwood and Emma Jane Robinson Tatum. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Johnny E. Smith. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her two sons, Johnny Wayne Smith and wife, Susan of Garland, Mike Smith and wife, Fran of Garland; one brother, Bennett Tatum of Ammon; three grandchildren, David Wayne Smith, Jessica Nicole Smith, Michael Casey Smith; three great grandchildren, Connor Wayne Smith, Courtlyn Blair Smith, Michael Steven Landreth; and one step-great grandson, Cade Christopher Rogers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 13, at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, and other times at her home.
