Lora was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Thomas and Mabel Draughon Fann. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas “Mann” Fann and Mabel Fann, of Roseboro.
Lora was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, stepmother, NeNe, and friend. To know her was to love her, and in return, you knew she loved you right back. She had a contagious smile, loving heart, and she never met a stranger. Lora was a big fan of the Duke Blue Devils, and fur babies, especially her own dog, Boone. She would give the shirt off of her back to help someone in need, and always had an eye for helping serve others. This passion for serving led her to her job at Altman’s Grocery Barn and her current employment, the nutrition department of Sampson Regional Medical Center. Lora loved everyone there, especially friends who became more like family.
She was the daughter in law of Bobby and Judy Jackson. She was married for 10 years to her husband, Elvis Wayne Jackson, of Roseboro. She is survived by her siblings; Lee Fann (Connie) of Roseboro, Tommy Fann (Denise) of Roseboro, Tammy Johnson (Kevin) of Four Oaks, and Christy Myers (Ronnie) of Dunn. She had many nieces and nephews who she loved; Crystal (TJ), Alphus, Austin (Megan), Grant (Elizabeth),Andrew (Kendall), Taylor (Mike), Zackery, Ethan, and Emily. Along with this, she had many great nieces and nephews, who she adored. She had a step-daughter, Brittany Rogers (CJ) and step-son, Dustin Jackson. She was NeNe to five grandchildren; Preston, Paisley, Paige, Able and Levi.
