Lonnie Paul Faircloth, 56, of Creedmoor passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Duke Regional in Durham.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Eddie Smith and Reverend Hampton Faircloth officiating.
Lonnie was born on August 20, 1965 in Sampson County to Earl Junior Faircloth and the late Dorthea Hall Faircloth. He grew up in Roseboro and graduated from high school in 1983. He went into the Marines after graduation and served in the Marines until June 10, 1994. Lonnie was in Desert Storm and was a 2nd Assault Amphibian Vehicle Crewmember. He was a Corrections Officer for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Butner, North Carolina for 20 years. He retired from the prison in September 2019.
Lonnie loved to hunt, fish, golf and talk to his many friends and family whom he cherished many memories with. He did not know a stranger. Everyone was his friend and he loved dogs. He is survived by 2 Chihuahuas, Pepper, 15 and Boots, 10.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Carmen Thompson Faircloth; his three children, Danyel Farmer and spouse, Chris Farmer, Sarah Faircloth and Austin Faircloth; two grandchildren, Sayde Jones and Declan Farmer; his sister Rosa Faye Bullard and spouse Henry Bullard; his brother Frankie Faircloth and spouse, Lorie Faircloth and his father Earl Faircloth and spouse Gayle Faircloth.
