Mrs. Lonie Alma Holland, 99

Salemburg Mrs. Loni Alma Holland, age 99, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, May 28, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Holland and a grandson, Jeffery Parker. Mrs. Holland is survived by her children; daughters, Peggy and Gene Lee, Stella McDonald, Ann and Bennie Eacret, Alice Fay Howell, Kathleen Holland, Gail and Leslie Jerson; her sons, Leon and Dianne Holland, Ronald and Carolyn Holland and Joe and Carolyn Holland; half-sister, Agnes Tanner; sister-in-law, Beulah Mae Holland; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson. She was a lifelong member of Salemburg Baptist Church, was a loving mother, homemaker and loved to play the piano. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Salemburg Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Salemburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-3 PM at the church and at other times at the home of Gail and Leslie Jerson, 301 Jackson Street, Salemburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salemburg Baptist Church Disaster Relief Fund, PO Box 537, Salemburg, NC 28385.
