ROSEBORO Mrs. Lola Lee Owens Lucas, 87 of 1671 Butler Island Road, Roseboro, died on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Brother Paul Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. Mrs. Lucas was born on February 16, 1926 in Pender County to the late Andrew and Gertrude Browning Owens. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband of 47 years, Donald E. Lucas; one son, Gene Lucas; one sister, Doris Howard; two grandsons, Ronald Gene Lucas, Jr., and Jeffrey Yarborough; and one great grandson, Ronald Edward Lucas. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: five daughters, Kaye L. Scholl of Burgaw, Karen L. Faircloth of Roseboro, Anita L. Rawlings of Petersburg, VA, Kim L. Allen of Benson, and Sheri L. Godwin of Roseboro; two sons, Johnnie E. Lucas and Kevin Wayne Lucas both of Roseboro; one brother, Herbert "Snag" Owens of Hope Mills; 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
