Mrs. Lola D. Edwards, 91

SALEMBURG Mrs. Lola Dell Bass Edwards, 91 of 206 S. Main Street, died on Monday, December 21, 2009 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Salemburg Baptist Church with Rev. David Smith, Rev. William Tew, and Rev. John Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Clinton. Mrs. Edwards was born on September 28, 1918 and was a native of Sampson County. She is preceded in death by: her parents, James McKenny and Mary Ella Hairr Bass; and her husband, Allen Edwards. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Edwards is survived by: three daughters, Jan Farrell of Salemburg, Muriel Smith of Clinton, and Lib Jackson of Salemburg; twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Salemburg Baptist Church Family Life Center, and other times at the home of her daughter, Lib Jackson, 521 S.
