Mrs. Lois G. Hudson, 79

ROSEBORO Mrs. Lois Gean Hudson, 79 of 145 Ruffin Lane, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at Mintz Baptist Church on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. John McBride officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hudson was born in 1929 in Sampson County to the late Billie Edison and Mammie Wood. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Joe T. Hudson, Sr.; one son, James Troy Hudson; one sister, Katie Bell Wood; and one brother, Bill Wood. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hudson is survived by: four children, Joe T. Hudson, Jr., Addie Gean Hudson, Della Sparrow, and Joseph Chris Hudson, all of Roseboro; three grandchildren, Eddie Joe Hudson, Amy Lynette Cole, and Waylon Sparrow; and two great grandchildren, Bridigette Sparrow, and Eva Michelle Hudson. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, and other times at the home of her daughter, 175 Ruffin Lane, Roseboro. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Mintz Baptist Church Building Fund, 3761 Old Mintz Highway, Roseboro, N.C. 28382. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, in Roseboro.
