Mr. Lloyd C. New, 72

AUTRYVILLE Mr. Lloyd Cleveland "L.C." New, Sr., 72 of 995 Hayne Stretch Road, died on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the home of his daughter. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. Mr. New was born in 1937 and was a native of Sampson County. He is preceded in death by: his parents, Willie Cleveland and Katie Sessoms New; his wife, Pauline Faircloth New; one son, Lloyd Cleveland New, Jr.; one grandchild, Reagan Crocker; one sister, Mildred Faircloth; and a special uncle, John New. He worked as a Meat Cutter with Lundy's Packing Company before retiring. Mr. New is survived by: his daughter, Paulette N. Crocker and husband Ronald, of Selma; two grandchildren, Katie Gaddy of Selma and Brandon New of Fayetteville; one sister, Lottie Sessoms of Autryville; one brother, Evander New of Cary. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro; and other times at 1019 Hayne Stretch Road, Autryville.
