Mr. Lloyd V. Barefoot, 82

STEDMAN Mr. Lloyd Vardell Barefoot, 82 of Stedman, died on Friday, May 7, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. W.H. Calcutt officiating. Mr. Barefoot was born on July 19, 1927 in Sampson County to the late William Thadeous and Katie Register Barefoot. He was a Veteran of the Army Air Corps, and was a Farmer. Mr. Barefoot is survived by: his wife, Hazel Strickland Barefoot of the home; one daughter, Wanda B. Tart and husband, Curtis P. of Roseboro; two grandchildren, Danielle Tart Hinson and husband, David and Michael P. Tart both of Raleigh; two great grandchildren, Charlotte D. Hinson of Christopher R. Hinson; one sister, Violet Williford of Mingo; and one brother, Thadeous "Ray" Barefoot of Herring. The family will receive friends on Monday afternoon after the service at the church.
