Ms. Lizzie Joyce (Flynn) Starling, 83 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Southwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Robert Oliver officiating. The burial will be a private service at Roseboro Cemetery.

The family will receive 1:00 – 1:50 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Ms. Starling was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Ernest and Ethel Hairr Flynn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Merrell Sessoms; her sister, Annette Faircloth; and her brother, Marvin Franklin Flynn.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Vicky Musgrove (Terry) of Autryville; and Christy Dicksey (David) of Wilmington; two sons, Ronnie Sessoms (Susie) of Clinton; and Toby Sessoms (Kimberly) of Raeford; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
