Mrs. Linda Ann Whaley, 71

ROSEBORO Mrs. Linda Ann Whaley, 71 of 273 Devond Tew Road, Roseboro, died on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 with Rev. Bryan Strickland officiating. Mrs. Whaley was a native of Miami, Florida, and the daughter of the late Dewey and Rossie Smith Rainey. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Royal H. "Bo" Whaley, III; one daughter, April Whaley; three sisters and one brother. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Royal H. Whaley of the home; two daughters, Teresa Ferguson of Cassatt, SC and Linda Gail Johnson of Pickens, SC; one brother, Vernon Rainey of Port St. Lucy, FL; seven grandchildren, Scott Ferguson, Jr., Heather Ferguson, Amy Ferguson, Hannah Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Jr., Sarah Johnson and Jeremiah Johnson; and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
