Autryville
The family of Mrs. Linda Gaye Hall (McColl) of Autryville, is saddened to announce her unexpected departure to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 73 years.
Linda was born in Cumberland County to Henry Thomas McColl, Sr., and Virginia Montrose McColl (Monroe) on July 20, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas Reed Jones; and loving husband, Robert Hall. She was a lifelong dedicated nurse who worked many years and retired from Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Linda was not only generous in life, but also in death as an organ donor.
Linda was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, friend, and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious treats and canning jellies, fruits, and all sorts of vegetables for her friends and family. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family and friends, and her beloved dog, Precious.
She is survived by two sons, Jason Jones, and Caleb Jones; two grandsons, Logan Jones, and Braden Jones; their mother and honorary daughter, Kristen Adams; one stepson, Jason Hall and wife Ashley Walton; three sisters, Carrie (Butch) Posey, Susan Diane McColl, Kimberly (Vaughn) Hopson; two brothers, Henry Thomas Jr (Malinda) McColl, John Kevin (Michele) McColl and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. The family has requested that remembrances made in the form of contributions go to the Wounded Warrior Project, in support of our Nation’s disabled veterans.
