Ms. Linda Hales Madgar, 68 of Supply, and formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, March 13, at Peters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Roseboro, with Reverend David Bays and Reverend Larry West officiating.

She was born April 26, 1947 in Sampson County and is preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher Jefferson and Fannie Louise Bullard Hales. She worked as an Emergency Room Registrar at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her children, Robert Madgar and wife Jocel of Ohio, Prentice Madgar and wife Tina of Autryville, Chris Madgar and wife Sarah of Holden Beach; grandchildren, Logan Madgar, Santana Madgar, Colin Madgar, Caleb Madgar, Mary Strong, Victoria Brown, Joshua Brown; sisters, Annette Cobb and husband Jim of Florida, Cathy Carlisle and husband Jeff of Roseboro, Loreen Hudson and husband Randy of Turkey; and brothers, Lawrence Hales and wife Diane of Roseboro, Jeff Hales and wife Cynthia of Roseboro, Mason Hales of Roseboro.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service and other times at the home of Jeff Hales, 3883 Beaver Dam Church Road, Roseboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice House, PO Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577; or to Peters Creek Baptist Church, 13176 Peters Creek Church Road, Roseboro, NC 28382, Attn: Cemetery Fund.
