Mrs. Lily Blanche McMillen Kersh, 87 of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at Bethesda Healthcare Facility in Eastover, NC.

No local services will be held.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 29 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Liberty, Texas, with burial to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

She was born September 27, 1928 in Liberty, Texas to parents, Dewey Alexander Sr. and Blanche Jannise McMillen. She worked for the Cleland Multipurpose Skating Complex in Fort Bragg, NC, for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 33 years, Fred Kersh, Jr.; and her siblings, Dewey Alexander McMillen, Jr. and Martha Jeanne Schroeder.

She is survived by her children, Rosa Jowers and husband Buddy, Louisa Feeley and husband Jeff, Fred Kersh and wife Jennifer, and Douglas Kersh; brothers and sisters, John Andrew McMillen, Mary Helena Denker, Francis Charles McMillen, Jacques James McMillen, Bertha Evelina Theriot, Joseph Elizabeth Smesney, and Joseph Augustine McMillen; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
